The following post features student writing.
¡Hola! Today our group continued our projects, working on a new pathway by mixing concrete and creating a foundation. We also started a new project of repainting the community kitchen with some help from our new friends Jota and Fabiana. All of the projects are going great and we foresee many more completed projects by the end of our time here.
Our group has been interacting more with the community of Biolley. On July 4, we had a campfire celebrating America’s Independence Day. Many community members came and had the opportunity to try s’mores for the first time. They were a big hit and everyone had a great time singing songs around the campfire. Although it was not a typical Fourth of July, it was one to remember.
Yesterday a few of us had the privilege of walking down to the main center of Biolley and playing fútbol with some people from the community. We got to see the local supermarket, and the journey was muy divertido (very fun).
We are all having a wonderful time here in Biolley with ASOMOBI, and we cannot wait to see what the month will bring.

¡Hola! Hoy nosotros del grupo de Putney continuamos con nuestros proyectos trabajando en la rampa, mezclando concreto y reconstruyendo un piso. También iniciamos otro proyecto nuevo, pintar la cocina comunal en el centro de Biolley con ayuda de nuestros nuevos amigos Jota y Fabiana. Todos los proyectos van muy bien y nos imaginamos muchos más proyectos terminados para el final de nuestro tiempo aquí.
Nuestro grupo ha estado interactuando más con la comunidad de Biolley. El 4 de julio, tuvimos una fogata para celebrar el Día de la Independencia de los Estados Unidos. Muchos miembros de la comunidad vinieron y tuvieron la oportunidad de probar los s’mores por primera vez. Esos dulces eran un éxito y todos tuvimos un gran momento cantando canciones alrededor de la fogata. Aunque no era un 4 de julio típico, era uno para recordar.
Ayer algunos de nosotros tuvimos la oportunidad de caminar hasta el centro de Biolley y de jugar fútbol con algunas personas de la comunidad. Llegamos a ver la pulpería, y el recorrido fue muy divertido.
Todos estamos pasando un tiempo maravilloso aquí en Biolley con ASOMOBI, y no podemos esperar a ver lo que el mes traerá.
